Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

Colgin’s 2018 Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a poised, deeply concentrated Napa classic, saturating the palate with layers of blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry, laced with dark chocolate, sweet spice, and a lift of floral perfume. The texture is strikingly silky and refined, with extremely fine, invisible-feeling tannins that carry a long, pure finish of cassis, mineral notes, and delicate herbal complexity. Gorgeous now for its grace and aromatic intensity, it has the structure to evolve magnificently in bottle.

About Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Tychson Hill Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is Colgin’s single‑vineyard, small‑production expression from a historic ‘jewel‑box’ site in Oakville (the Tychson Hill parcel purchased and replanted by Ann Colgin in the 1990s). Crafted from heritage Cabernet clones on roughly a two‑to‑three acre, cooler, north‑facing site, the wine is noted for its ethereal elegance and floral perfume layered over red and black fruit, with fine-grained tannins and mineral/loamy undertones that reflect the vineyard’s intimate terroir.
