Chateau Leoville Poyferre 2005 Vintage Overview

2005 OVERVIEW

Deep, plush fruit rolls across the palate in the 2005 Château Léoville Poyferré, with blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry layered over subtle cocoa, roasted coffee and a touch of forest floor. The texture is all about charm and power at once: velvety, richly concentrated and yet beautifully polished, the tannins coating the mouth without any harsh edges. It’s a hedonistic, modern St-Julien that still keeps its classical shape and will reward both current drinking and further cellaring.
