Chateau LaTour-Martillac 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

Chateau LaTour-Martillac 2018 shows generous, ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit layered with warm spice, graphite and a gentle smoky note, all wrapped in a velvety yet firmly structured frame. The palate is concentrated and deep but remains balanced by fresh lift and a long, savory finish that reveals its clear potential for graceful bottle age.

About Chateau LaTour-Martillac

Château LaTour-Martillac is the grand vin of this historic Pessac-Léognan Cru Classé estate, typically a Cabernet Sauvignon–led Bordeaux blend (with Merlot and Petit Verdot) grown on deep Pyrenean gravel slopes above Martillac that give the wine its structure, minerality, and aging potential. Known for its balance of dark fruit, floral and spice notes with refined oak, it is one of the rare Graves properties classified for both red and white wines, and represents a benchmark style of elegant, ageworthy left-bank Bordeaux.
