Chateau Labegorce 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

More about charm than sheer power, Château Labégorce 2021 offers bright red cherry and raspberry fruit framed by gentle cedar spice and a hint of citrus lift, giving the wine a subtly aromatic, almost airy feel. The palate is medium-bodied and graceful, with supple tannins and lively acidity that keep it fresh and easy to drink rather than brooding or massive, very much in line with the lighter, classical style of the 2021 vintage. It’s a refined, transparently made Margaux that favors immediacy and finesse over density.

About Chateau Labegorce

Château Labégorce is a Cru Bourgeois red from Margaux on Bordeaux’s left bank, a Cabernet Sauvignon–Merlot–based blend grown on predominantly sandy-gravel soils neighboring Châteaux Margaux and Lascombes. Owned by the Perrodo family, the estate unites several historic Labégorce parcels, producing a wine known for its polished structure, bright blackcurrant and floral Margaux finesse, and supple tannins, with Zédé de Labégorce as its second wine.
