Chateau Figeac 2023 Vintage Overview

2023 OVERVIEW

Silky yet vividly structured, 2023 Château Figeac layers pure cassis, mulberry and redcurrant fruit with hints of peony, tobacco leaf, graphite and warm spice, all carried on a cool, mineral-inflected frame. Medium to full in body but never heavy, its fine, powdery tannins and bright acidity give the wine a poised, long finish that promises superb complexity with time in bottle.

About Chateau Figeac

Château Figeac is the historic Grand Vin of this premier Saint-Émilion estate, distinguished by its unusually high proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc on deep Günzian gravel, giving a style often described as the “most Médoc-like” of the Right Bank. Crafted from old vines on three gravel knolls over blue clay, it typically delivers a refined balance of freshness, structure, and complexity with excellent ageing potential, making it one of Bordeaux’s most sought-after and recognizable wines.
