Chateau Figeac 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Silky yet energetic, Chateau Figeac 2021 layers cool raspberry and blackcurrant fruit with graphite, tobacco leaf and floral tones of violet and rose, all carried by luminous acidity and beautifully fine tannins. The palate feels precise and medium-bodied but deep, with a stony, savory edge and a lingering, gently chewy finish that marks this as one of the most refined and classically styled Figeacs of recent years.

About Chateau Figeac

Château Figeac is the historic Grand Vin of this premier Saint-Émilion estate, distinguished by its unusually high proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc on deep Günzian gravel, giving a style often described as the “most Médoc-like” of the Right Bank. Crafted from old vines on three gravel knolls over blue clay, it typically delivers a refined balance of freshness, structure, and complexity with excellent ageing potential, making it one of Bordeaux’s most sought-after and recognizable wines.
