Blason d'Issan 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Chateau d'Issan Blason d'Issan 2020 shows generous, vibrant dark-fruit character layered with hints of orange peel, gentle spice and a touch of earth, all wrapped in supple yet energetic tannins. Medium to full in body, it has enough depth and drive to be engaging now but clearly built to gain complexity with a few more years in bottle.

About Blason d'Issan

Blason d’Issan is the second wine of Château d’Issan, a 3rd Growth estate in Margaux, produced mainly from younger Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines on gravel-over-clay soils. Created in 1995, it is crafted and barrel-aged in the same cellars as the grand vin but is styled for earlier drinking, showing supple tannins, round, juicy fruit and the floral elegance typical of Margaux while echoing the character of the château’s flagship wine.
