Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Tension and glow define 2022 Château Brane-Cantenac, with a pure, vivid core of cassis and dark cherry wrapped in scents of rose, tobacco leaf, spice and graphite. The palate is medium to full in weight but wonderfully precise, layered with dark chocolate and cool herbal accents, and propelled by ultra-fine, pixel-like tannins that give great length without heaviness. This is an especially harmonious and energetic Brane-Cantenac, clearly one of the stars of the vintage in Margaux.

About Chateau Brane-Cantenac

Château Brane-Cantenac is the grand vin of this historic Margaux second growth, a Cabernet Sauvignon–led blend (typically with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Carmenère/Petit Verdot) grown on deep gravel soils that give the wine its hallmark finesse and perfume. Stylistically, it is known for its aromatic florality, refined black and red fruit, and silky yet structured tannins, combining classic Left Bank elegance with the capacity to age gracefully over decades.
