Château Brane-Cantenac is a historic Second Growth estate in the Margaux appellation, its roots dating back to the 18th century when it was known as Château Gorce and already highly prized. In 1833 Baron Hector de Brane, dubbed the “Napoléon of the Vines,” sold his Brane-Mouton estate (today Mouton Rothschild) to acquire the property and give it his name.
