Prado Enea Gran Reserva 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Classical Rioja depth meets lift in Bodegas Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva 2019, which layers dark blackberry and plum fruit with gentle dried herb, cedar and a faint touch of coconut and caramel from its long aging. The palate feels powerful yet finely etched, with bright acidity and firm but polished tannins giving the wine impressive drive and length, clearly built for a long life in bottle. Despite its concentration, it stays remarkably fresh and composed, promising even greater nuance with time.

About Prado Enea Gran Reserva

Prado Enea Gran Reserva is Bodegas Muga’s flagship, traditionally styled Rioja Gran Reserva, sourced from high-altitude, late-ripening parcels in the northwest of Rioja Alta on calcareous clay and alluvial soils. Typically based on Tempranillo with small portions of Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, it is aged for about three years in a mix of mainly French and some American oak and then a further three years in bottle, yielding a complex, ageworthy wine that marries ripe red and black fruit with fine spice, cedar and supple yet structured tannin…
