2019 Pro Rating
Tense and tightly coiled, Azelia’s 2019 Barolo San Rocco layers dark cherry and plum with hints of blood orange, cedar and tobacco over a distinctly mineral frame. The palate is medium-bodied but powerful, with firm, compact tannins and vivid acidity that drive a long, focused, slightly austere finish, promising considerably more complexity with time in bottle.
Tajarin with white truffle; Braised beef short ribs; Aged Parmigiano Reggiano

Azelia’s Barolo San Rocco is a single‑vineyard Barolo from the clay‑rich, south‑facing slopes of San Rocco in Serralunga d’Alba, made from very old (c.65–70 year) Nebbiolo vines. It’s fermented on indigenous yeasts with long maceration and matured 24 months in large oak, producing a muscular, terroir‑driven wine of dark cherry, licorice, spice and iron‑tinged minerality, with firm, chalky tannins and long ageing potential.
