Vietti’s 2020 Barolo Monvigliero shows a pale, translucent color but delivers striking aromatic intensity, with lifted red cherry and raspberry layered over blood orange, wild herbs and a chalky, saline edge. On the palate it’s ultra-fine and detailed, almost weightless yet firmly structured, with very silky, powdery tannins and a long, spicy, citrus-tinged finish that emphasizes grace over power.
