Yjar 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Telmo Rodriguez Yjar 2019 glows with lifted red and black fruit layered over savoury spice, dried flowers and cool limestone tones, its polished tannins giving a refined, flowing shape to the intensely flavoured palate. There’s both energy and grace here: ripe raspberries, sour cherry and blackcurrant glide into cedar, cocoa and baking spice, all carried by a long, mineral, beautifully composed finish.

Sourced from limestone/marl soils, fermented with native yeasts and aged long in large foudres and French oak, it’s a low‑yield, limited‑production, terroir‑driven wine noted for chalky minerality, fine dusty tannins and a floral/stone‑fruit profile with precise freshness and lon…
