Distenta Syrah 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Dark blue and black fruits roll through the glass on the 2022 Sine Qua Non Distenta Syrah, draped in notes of kirsch, black pepper, and subtle fennel seed, all carried on a luxuriously velvety, full-bodied frame. Despite its richness and sheer concentration, the wine feels seamless and fluid, with fine, polished tannins and a long, cooling finish that hints this riper, more extroverted vintage will become even more complex with a bit of patience.

Introduced as the new ongoing Syrah series beginning with the 2019 “Distenta I,” it typically layers in small amounts of Grenache, Mourvèdre, Petite Sirah and even aromatic white varieties (Muscat and Petit Manseng) to amplify perfume and complexity, yielding intensely concentrated yet remarkably balanced wines…
