Barbaresco 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

Nebbiolo purity takes center stage here, with Produttori del Barbaresco’s 2018 Barbaresco showing vivid red and dark cherry layered with orange zest, dried flowers, earthy underbrush and a twist of licorice and spice. The palate is medium to full in body yet graceful, with plenty of flavor concentration, fresh acidity and fine, lightly gripping tannins that frame a warm-vintage fruit profile without feeling heavy. Accessible and delicious already, it still has the structure to reward some mid-term cellaring.

About Barbaresco

Produttori del Barbaresco’s flagship Barbaresco DOCG is a classic, traditionally made Nebbiolo sourced from numerous member‑growers’ vineyards across the Barbaresco appellation, rooted in limestone- and clay-rich soils with sandy veins. Long maceration and aging in large oak casks yield an elegant, medium-bodied wine defined by red cherry and rose notes, savory spice and firm but refined tannins, offering a benchmark expression of the Barbaresco terroir with notable capacity to age.
