Rare 2012 Vintage Overview

2012 OVERVIEW

Energy and opulence are beautifully intertwined in Piper-Heidsieck Rare 2012, with layers of ripe pineapple, orange zest and golden stone fruit wrapped in notes of toasted brioche, grilled nuts and honey. The palate is powerful yet superbly poised, carried by a fine, silky mousse and bright citrus-driven acidity that stretch the finish out in a long, savory, gently spicy glow. This vintage stands out for its ripeness and depth without heaviness, already seductive but clearly built for a long life in bottle.

Born from an experimental 1976 heatwave harvest and inspired by a historic Fabergé-designed centenary bottle, it is now bottled under its own Rare Champagne label, celebrated for its intricate gold “crown” presentation and its refined, mineral-driven, creamy style that showcases top crus of Champagne, especially from the Mon…
