2020 Pro Rating
Gentle red fruits glide out of the glass first—plum, strawberry and cherry—wrapped in notes of cedar, spice and a touch of earth, giving Pio Cesare Barbaresco 2020 a quietly serious character beneath its charm. The palate feels taut yet silky, with fine, powdery tannins and bright acidity carrying flavors of redcurrant, dried flowers and a hint of cocoa into a long, composed finish. It captures the approachable, “modern” side of Nebbiolo, already delicious but clearly built to grow more complex with time.
