Soave Classico La Rocca 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Depth and texture define Pieropan Soave Classico La Rocca 2020, layering ripe baked apple and pear with candied citrus, honeyed florals and gentle baking spice over a core of stony minerality. The palate is creamy yet buoyant, with generous weight balanced by lively acidity, stretching the rich orchard-fruit and orange-blossom flavors into a long, satisfying finish. A particularly concentrated and complex vintage that shows both hedonistic charm now and clear potential for further nuance with time in bottle.

About Soave Classico La Rocca

Soave Classico La Rocca by Pieropan is a single-vineyard, 100% Garganega from the limestone- and clay-rich slopes of Monte Rocchetta beneath Soave’s medieval castle, a rare calcareous site in a largely volcanic appellation. Late-harvested, often with a touch of botrytis and aged on lees in French tonneaux and large Slavonian casks, it is an opulent, ageworthy Soave known for its exotic fruit, honeyed and nutty complexity, and warm, velvety texture balanced by vivid acidity.
