Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Silky yet powerful, Paolo Scavino’s 2019 Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata Riserva layers ripe red cherry and plum with hints of citrus peel, spice and dried flowers over a core of mineral depth. The palate is concentrated but not heavy, driven by vivid acidity and fine, chalk-dusted tannins that promise long development while already giving an elegant, savory finish. This is a particularly sensual and refined expression of Rocche in a top-rated vintage, with both immediacy and impressive aging potential.

About Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva

Paolo Scavino’s Barolo Rocche dell’Annunziata Riserva is the estate’s single‑cru Riserva from the historic Rocche dell’Annunziata site in La Morra (south‑southeast exposure, ~385 m) made from 100% Nebbiolo on sandy, calcareous soils and produced only in top vintages. Extended aging (barriques and large casks) and careful vinification yield a refined, perfumed Barolo—rose, violet and sweet red‑cherry aromas over crushed stone and mint, with silken tannins, lithe acidity and an elegant, mineral finish.
