Powerful yet polished, the 2021 Outpost Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon layers ripe cassis, blackberry and blueberry with graphite, warm spice and a subtle charry edge. The palate is dense and concentrated but remarkably supple through the middle, with creamy, saturated fruit framed by fine, velvety tannins that carry a long, darkly fruited finish. This vintage shows an unusually approachable, opulent character for Howell Mountain while still clearly built for the long haul.
