Depth and lift are striking in the Oddero Barolo Villero 2021, which layers pure redcurrant and cranberry fruit with tones of dark spice, licorice and underbrush. The palate is taut, energetic and finely etched, with ripe yet authoritative tannins and a long, resonant finish that feels more contemplative than showy. It’s a superbly focused, serious Villero that will reward patience in the cellar.
