Delicate red berries and rose petals lead in the 2020 Oddero Barolo Monvigliero, layered with fragrant herbs, sweet spice and a touch of orange zest. The palate is medium-bodied yet intense, gliding on ultra-fine, ‘tumbled’ tannins with a crunchy, sapid core that gives this graceful, Verduno-scented Barolo a faintly rustic, distinctive edge. It feels tightly composed today and clearly built to gain complexity with a few years of rest.
