About Schlossberg Grand Cru

Marcel Deiss’s Schlossberg Grand Cru is a steep, south‑facing Alsace Grand Cru from terraced, granite‑rich soils around Kientzheim, produced as a field‑blend led by Riesling (with small amounts of other permitted Alsace varieties). Farmed organically and biodynamically, the wine is typically fermented on indigenous yeasts and aged on lees in large old casks, showing intense, stony minerality, taut acidity and saline persistence—an ageworthy, bone‑dry expression of Schlossberg’s sun‑warmed, sandy‑granitic terroir.
