Silky and expressive, Louis Jadot’s 2022 Echezeaux Grand Cru layers sweet red cherries and dark raspberry fruit with hints of exotic spice, tea leaf, smoke and a touch of espresso. The palate is medium to full-bodied and caressing, its fine, powdery tannins and lively acidity giving shape to a long, pepper-tinged finish that shows both sensual charm and a more serious, ageworthy side. This is a particularly generous, complex Echezeaux in 2022 that should reward patience while still offering relatively early appeal for a grand cru.
