About Cote-Rotie Les Journaries

Les Journaries is Bernard (and now Agnès) Levet’s elegant Côte‑Rôtie cuvée built primarily from old-vine parcels in La Landonne (with small holdings from neighboring lieux‑dits), made in a traditional style that often uses whole clusters to give a rose‑and‑pepper perfume and savory, resinous tannin. It shows deep black‑and‑blue fruit, floral and spice notes and a mineral, sappy texture—less overtly muscular than Levet’s Chavaroche but designed for both earlier approachability and long aging.
