Brunello di Montalcino 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Tart red cherries and wild berries lead the charge in Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino 2020, lifted by cool notes of flowers and herbs over a core of earth and fine spice. The palate feels poised and luminous rather than heavy, with vibrant acidity, sleek yet firm tannins and a long, savory finish that hints at mocha and mineral salt. This vintage captures the estate’s transparent, high‑altitude style with extra tension and drive, promising real complexity as it gains bottle age.

Fermented in concrete and aged for around three years in large Slavonian oak casks, it tends to emphasize lifted red fruit, flowers, and savoury earth over sheer power, with finely woven tannins and a clarity often likened to Burgundy.
