La Spinetta’s 2004 Barbaresco Gallina Riserva shows a poised mix of mature depth and youthful energy, with vivid red cherry and plum layered over dried strawberry, sweet spice, tobacco and a subtle balsamic lift. The tannins are fine yet firm, giving a long, focused finish where hints of licorice, cedar and dried flowers echo beautifully. A powerful, sensual Barbaresco that still feels remarkably fresh in magnum format.
