About Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru

Joseph Drouhin’s Chambolle‑Musigny Premier Cru is a blend of the house’s small Premier‑Cru parcels in the heart of Chambolle, made from 100% Pinot Noir on Jurassic limestone with east exposures; it’s crafted for silk‑like texture and finesse, typically showing violet and black‑cherry perfume, damp‑earth/truffle notes and refined, coating tannins. Vinified with indigenous yeasts, partial whole‑cluster and matured in mostly used oak with a minority of new barrels, the wine balances sappy mineral energy and polished fruit for medium‑term ageing.
