Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Celestins 2015 Vintage Overview

2015 OVERVIEW

Deep, brooding fruit and wild Provençal herbs roll into a powerful, richly textured core in Henri Bonneau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve des Célestins 2015, already hinting at floral perfume and warm, sweet-toned spice. The palate feels broad yet impeccably composed, with ripe tannins and a gentle veil of toasted complexity that marks this historic final vintage as both profound and soulful. Patience will be rewarded as its darker, meaty undertones and silken length gain even more nuance over time.

About Chateauneuf-du-Pape Reserve des Celestins

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve des Célestins by Henri Bonneau is the estate’s mythic flagship cuvée, drawn largely from very old-vine Grenache in the heart of the La Crau plateau and raised for many years in ancient foudres. Made by one of Châteauneuf’s most staunchly traditional growers, it is famed for its wild, multidimensional complexity—combining dense dark fruits with game, leather, garrigue, spice and floral notes—and for a massive yet silky structure that allows it to evolve gracefully for decades.
