Intensity is the calling card of 2023 Guigal La Doriane Condrieu, with layers of ripe white peach, apricot and orange zest wrapped in scented blossom, honeyed richness and polished new oak. The palate is broad and luxurious yet guided by a surprisingly vivid freshness for Condrieu, giving definition to the dense fruit and carrying it into a long, stony, citrus-tinged finish that marks this as one of the standout northern Rhône whites of the vintage.

La Doriane is Guigal’s lavish, age‑worthy expression of Condrieu: a 100% Viognier cuvée drawn from the steep, terraced granite slopes of some of the appellation’s finest lieux-dits such as Côte Chatillon, Chéry, Colombier and Volan. Fermented and raised entirely in new French oak with full malolactic and very low yields, it marries heady aromas of apricot, white peach, honeysuckle and sweet spice with a rich, satiny palate and a distinctive mineral drive that allows this famously opulent style to age with surprising grace.
