Barolo Brunate Le Coste 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Depth comes first here: dark cherry and plum layered with spice box, leather and a cool streak of menthol, all carried on a lifted, almost weightless frame. Giuseppe Rinaldi’s 2020 Barolo Brunate Le Coste is classically structured yet not severe, its firm but polished tannins and vibrant acidity giving clarity to the fruit and a long, mineral-tinged finish. It may not reach the sheer concentration of 2019, but it offers striking energy, nuance and aromatic complexity that make it compelling and very true to traditional Barolo.

Known for its depth, firm structure and longevity, it marries Brunate’s power and density with the more fragrant, nuanced character of Le Coste, and has become one of the estate’s most emblematic and sought‑after wines, even though the Brunate–Le Coste label disappeared after regulatory changes from the 2010 vinta…
