Giuseppe Contratto Classico Riserva Special Cuvée Pas Dosé 2010 marries deep, mature flavors of dried stone fruit, citrus peel and toasted pastry with a strikingly pure, saline spine. The long lees aging shows in the fine, creamy mousse and complex notes of roasted nuts and subtle caramel, yet the finish remains taut, vertical and very precise. A powerful, dry metodo classico with both richness and cut, it feels simultaneously opulent and chiselled.
