Cannubi’s 2019 from Giacomo Borgogno & Figli is a beautifully scented Barolo, stretching from red berries and wild herbs into hints of rose, fine leather and sweet spice. The palate is poised and silken, with very polished tannins giving a sense of lift and grace rather than weight, yet there’s plenty of depth and drive carrying through a long, focused, floral finish. A particularly refined and approachable expression of this famed cru in a high-class vintage, with serious aging potential behind the charm.
Tajarin with white truffle; Porchetta with rosemary and fennel; Mushroom risotto with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano
