About La Serene Noire

La Sereine Noire is a rare, single‑estate Côte‑Rôtie from Mathilde & Yves Gangloff—essentially a pure Syrah (local “Serine” clone) vinified from old vines on steep granite and schist sites (Côte‑Rozier, Mollard). It’s intensely dark and concentrated yet refined, showing black and red berry fruit folded with peppery spice, liquorice/camphor and menthol/mineral notes, with long tannic structure from careful élevage in barrels and very limited production.
