Sori Tildin 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Intensity creeps up in the 2020 Gaja Sorì Tildìn, with cool-toned red and dark berry fruit edged by candied citrus peel, crushed stone, tobacco and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied and tightly coiled yet already generous in flavor, driven by ripe but firm, finely ground tannins that give this Barbaresco a serious, structured profile and a lingering, savory finish. This is a powerful, long-distance Sorì Tildìn with an unusually deep, brooding side for the cru, built for patience in the cellar.

First produced in 1970 and now bottled as 100% Nebbiolo with about two years of oak aging, it is known for its combination of elegance and power, showcasing complex floral, mineral and spicy aromatics, dense yet polished structure, and outstanding capacity to age. The name joins the Piedmontese word “Sorì” (sunny hillt…
