Ca'Marcanda Magari 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Gaja Ca’Marcanda Magari 2022 shows succulent red and blackcurrant fruit layered with hints of cherry, subtle herb and spice notes, and a touch of cedar and graphite. Medium-bodied yet generous, it feels silky and polished, with fine, caressing tannins and a long, juicy finish that already drinks beautifully but clearly has more to give with a bit of time in bottle.

Typically combining cabernet franc with cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot (and earlier vintages with merlot), it is aged about a year in oak to yield a polished, medium-to-full-bodied red marked by dark berries, Mediterranean herbs, spice and graphite, with a supple, silky texture that captures the refined, maritime…
