Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2019 Vintage Overview

2019 OVERVIEW

Depth comes in layers here: the 2019 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino Riserva weaves pure red cherry and pomegranate with sweet spice, citrus lift and a gentle woodsy savor, all wrapped in remarkably refined, long‑chained tannins. It feels radiant rather than heavy, driven by vibrant acidity that keeps the ripe fruit precise and draws the wine out in a saline, tea‑tinged, endlessly persistent finish. A superbly balanced, classically structured Riserva that clearly has a long life ahead of it.

About Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

Fuligni’s Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is the estate’s top Sangiovese selection from older-vine parcels on the northeastern slopes of Montalcino, produced only in the best vintages and aged a minimum of five years (about 3½ years in wood). It’s notably concentrated and long-lived—distinct for perfumed florals and wild-berry fruit framed by savory herbs, baking spice, stony/mineral notes and fine, persistent tannins that reward extended cellaring.
