2001 Pro Rating
Decades of slow cask aging have given Florio Marsala Aegusa Superiore Riserva Semisecco 2001 a deep amber hue and an enveloping nose of dried fig, sultana, caramel and vanilla, lifted by a subtle marine note. The palate is dense yet medium‑dry rather than sticky, layering date, toffee, sweet coffee and warm spice over firm tannins and vibrant acidity, stretching into an exceptionally long, nut‑tinged finish. This is a complex, contemplative Marsala that wears its 20 years in cask with both intensity and balance.
Aged Parmigiano Reggiano, foie gras terrine, hazelnut or almond tart
