Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2023 Vintage Overview

2023 OVERVIEW

Silky at first and then steadily gaining in depth, Faiveley’s 2023 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru layers crystalline cherry and blackberry fruit with hints of blood orange, rose, and subtle spicy earth. The medium-bodied frame is carried by very fine, precise tannins that give a sensation of effortless power, leading to an exceptionally long, nuanced finish that already shows great promise but clearly begs for time in the cellar.

About Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru

Faiveley’s Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is a benchmark Gevrey-Chambertin, drawn from three prized limestone parcels that the domaine has dominated since the 1930s, producing deeply structured yet supremely refined Pinot Noir. Typically offering intense ruby color, layered red and black fruit, spice and subtle roasted notes, it marries the natural power of Chambertin with Clos de Bèze’s signature finesse, silkier tannins and long, mineral-inflected finish built for decades of ageing.
