Energy runs through the 2021 Ettore Germano Barolo Prapo, where vivid red cherry and raspberry are framed by floral tones, balsamic herbs and a tap of spice over a core of iron-tinged earth and chalky minerality. Firm yet finely woven tannins and bright, vertical acidity give the wine a powerful Serralunga structure, but the detail and finesse of the vintage keep it precise and long on the palate. This is both tightly coiled and already deeply expressive, promising even more complexity with time in bottle.
