Vinedo Chadwick 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

In this benchmark 2018 vintage, Errazuriz Viñedo Chadwick shows thrilling purity of Cabernet fruit, with blackcurrant, blackberry and sour cherry framed by hints of violets, cedar and subtle mint. The palate is concentrated yet wonderfully refined, with silky, ultra-fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, layered finish that combines depth, freshness and elegance. A modern Chilean classic that will gain even more nuance with time in bottle.

About Vinedo Chadwick

Viñedo Chadwick is Errazuriz’s ultra‑prestige, single-vineyard Maipo Cabernet, planted in 1992 on the Chadwick family’s former polo field in the cool, high-altitude Puente Alto district at the foot of the Andes. From a tiny 15-hectare plot of gravelly, alluvial soils, it typically delivers a pure, finely sculpted Cabernet Sauvignon (sometimes with a touch of Petit Verdot) that marries Maipo’s cassis, graphite and minty freshness with polished tannins and the kind of depth and refinement that have made it one of Chile’s most coveted icon wines.
