Ravera Barolo 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Elvio Cogno’s 2020 Barolo Ravera shows concentrated red and dark cherry layered with raspberry, licorice, and crushed stone, edged by floral spice and a subtle earthy depth. The palate is precise yet generous, with vibrant acidity and firmly structured, fine-grained tannins that promise graceful evolution over time. A serious, tightly coiled Ravera that combines richness and tension in equal measure.

About Ravera Barolo

Ravera Barolo by Elvio Cogno is a single-cru Nebbiolo from the historic Ravera vineyard that wraps around the estate in Novello, where compact calcareous clay and a cool, Alpine-influenced microclimate give the wine its tightly etched structure, savory minerality, and capacity for long aging. Traditionally vinified and matured in large Slavonian oak casks, it marries lifted floral and wild herb aromatics with dark cherry, spice, and truffle notes, evolving from youthful austerity into a deeply complex, elegant Barolo over time.
