El Enemigo Chardonnay is a high‑altitude, 100% Chardonnay from Gualtallary in Mendoza’s Uco Valley—crafted by Alejandro Vigil for the El Enemigo project—and is notable for its calcareous, rocky terroir and bright, saline minerality. Vinified and aged in large French oak (partly new) with a portion matured under a veil/biological aging, it shows tense citrus and white‑peach fruit, savory/yeasty lees notes, a chalky texture and a long, nervy finish that marries New World ripeness with an almost Juran‑style savory complexity.
