Bourgogne Passetoutgrain “L’Exception” from Domaine Michel Lafarge is a rare co-planted blend of roughly 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Gamay drawn from very old (planted 1928) vines in the Les Lombois parcel on the Volnay–Meursault border; it shows bright red fruit, floral lift and a sappy, chalky minerality reflective of clay–limestone soils.
