2021 Pro Rating
Delicate yet quietly intense, the 2021 Domaine Michel Lafarge Beaune Clos des Aigrots Premier Cru Blanc shows cool orchard fruit, a touch of smoke and spice, and a vivid, saline minerality that drives through the palate. Medium-bodied and precise, it combines taut energy with a gentle, juicy core, finishing long, dry and finely etched rather than showy. This vintage feels particularly transparent and racy, with real complexity despite the tiny production.

Domaine Michel Lafarge’s Beaune 1er Cru «Clos des Aigrots» is a terroir-driven Pinot Noir from a small clay-limestone, gravelly parcel in Beaune (planted in mid-20th century), farmed organically and biodynamically. The wine is typically 100% de-stemmed Pinot Noir, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in mostly used oak (low percentage new), showing a mineral, saline backbone with bright red cherry and raspberry fruit, fine silky tannins and excellent age-worthiness.
