Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2018 Vintage Overview

2018 OVERVIEW

Gentle red and black cherry fruit glides out of the glass, wrapped in rose petal, spice and a subtle dark-chocolate depth, giving Domaine Meo-Camuzet Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2018 a more seductive and tender face than many Clos de Vougeots. On the palate it feels concentrated yet finely woven, with velvety tannins, lively tension and a long, firmly shaped finish that balances lush texture with serious underlying structure. A particularly inviting, almost caressing expression of this grand cru that still has plenty of muscle for aging.

About Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from Domaine Méo-Camuzet is a powerful yet refined Pinot Noir from some of the choicest parcels high in the historic walled Clos, notably just below the château and in Grand Maupertui. Old vines (with significant plantings from the 1920s and 1960s) on shallow, well‑drained limestone soils give a wine known for its concentration, velvety, almost lace‑like texture, and impressive length, often elevated in a high proportion of new French oak that it easily absorbs. This is a complete, ageworthy Grand Cru Vougeot that marr…
