Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles Premier Cru 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Initially taut and focused, this 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles Premier Cru from Domaine Leflaive layers ripe citrus, pear and almond over a silken, almost honeyed core, all driven by strikingly vivid acidity for such a warm year. Floral notes, delicate spice and a fine mineral line stretch the wine out on a long, composed finish that already hints at grand cru scale but clearly begs for time in the cellar.

Vinified with gentle pressing and aged around 18 months (12 in mostly used oak, then 6 in tank), it typically marries dense, layered fruit and creamy texture with taut structure and pronounced chalky minerality, yielding a wine of notable refinement, depth, and ag…
