Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 Vintage Overview

2022 OVERVIEW

Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 shows exhilarating tension between creamy depth and chiselled minerality, layering citrus oil, white peach, and cool orchard fruit over a fine spine of stone and salt. The palate is concentrated yet weightless, driven by vivid acidity and finishing with great length, subtle spice and a sense of complete, serene balance that points clearly to long-term greatness.

About Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru

Domaine Leflaive’s Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru is a biodynamically farmed, old-vine Chardonnay from multiple parcels high on the Chevalier slope above Montrachet in Puligny-Montrachet, where shallow calcareous-clay soils and cooler, breezy exposure yield intensely mineral, tensile wines of great finesse. Typically aged about a year in (c.25% new) oak followed by further time in tank, it is renowned as one of Burgundy’s most elegant yet powerful Grands Crus, marrying citrus and white‑flower purity with deep, long-lived structure.
