Cote-Rotie 2021 Vintage Overview

2021 OVERVIEW

Domaine Jean-Paul Jamet Côte-Rôtie 2021 is a taut, aromatic Syrah with bright red fruits wrapped in layers of pepper, dried herbs and stony, earthy nuance. The whole-cluster character brings lifted florals and spice, while firm, finely etched tannins and lively acidity emphasize structure and minerality over sheer richness in this classically framed vintage.

About Cote-Rotie

Domaine Jean-Paul Jamet’s flagship Côte-Rôtie is a benchmark 100% Syrah, assembled from around twenty steep, schist-dominated parcels across both Côte Brune and Côte Blonde to capture the appellation’s full spectrum. Traditionally made with a high proportion of whole clusters and aged about 22 months in mostly used barrels, it’s famed for its deep color, black olive and smoky notes, and a harmonious balance of power, perfume, and long-term aging potential.
