Hermitage Les Bessards 2020 Vintage Overview

2020 OVERVIEW

Delas Frères Hermitage Les Bessards 2020 is a powerful, tightly coiled Syrah packed with black cherry and cassis, layered with notes of dark olive, cured meat, and subtle spice over a distinctly stony, graphite spine. Full-bodied yet finely structured, its tannins are polished but firm, giving the wine both immediate drama and the promise of long development, with a long, saline-tinged finish that carries violet and licorice nuances.

About Hermitage Les Bessards

Delas Frères’ Hermitage “Les Bessards” is a single‑vineyard, small‑production expression (only in top years) from the steep, granitic south‑facing slopes of Hermitage, made from 100% Syrah; it’s classically dense and concentrated with deep black‑fruit and violet perfume, savory/olive and smoked‑meat/earth nuances, firm, ageworthy tannins and 12–14 months in new or lightly used oak that underline its power and long‑distance potential.
